2 rare options on the sheet in the glovecompartment???
A truck at work ('84 Chevy 4x4 3/4 ton long box) has quite a few options. I think both columns are full on the list, which is located on the inner fender.
A few of them are Oil cooler Sequioa(SP?) special Camper Special operating convience (then it got cut off) What is the sequia special and the operating convience? What was included in the Camper special package?

Camper Special meant that you had a much stiffer rear suspension, my truck is also a camper special and it has 12 leaves instead of the normal amount...

I routed through a few of my sales brochures and see nothing definite on the Sequioa. I have seen it many times listed thoiugh. I think it was a marketing package much like the earlier Bonanzas, although the Bonanza did have badging to identify them.
camper special=stiff ride, heavy load capabilities, some even had holes in the side of the bed for the jacks? of a slide in camper. DAVE

Here are a few specifics relevant to your ’84 K20:
Regarding the “oil cooler”- -this is a reference either to optional installation of an engine oil cooler (identified by option code KC4) or automatic transmission oil cooler (identified by option code V02). Regarding the “Sequoia Special”- -this is a reference to a popular- -and common-- pricing incentive package offered during the ‘80’s. Typically the package amounted to free inclusion of either an automatic transmission or air conditioning if the following options were purchased: deluxe two tone paint, deluxe front appearance (i.e. quad headlamps), electric clock, tinted glass, halogen high beam headlamps, operating convenience package, AM FM stereo radio, speed control, tilt wheel, and intermittent wipers. (This listing comes from an '82 Sequoia pamphlet I have. Their might be some minor content differences for an '84.) The Sequoia Special option did not include any special nameplates or other unique identifying characteristics, outside of printed notification on the Service Parts Identification listing and original invoice. As noted by Crossy, it is a successor to the “Bonanza” and “Highlander” pricing discount packages found on Chevy pickups in earlier years. Regarding the “Camper Special” package- -this option, for an ’84 K20, required purchase of the C6P 8,600 lb GVW Heavy Duty Chassis Package, along with a 350 or 6.2 litre diesel V8. It included, in your case, a camper wiring harness, F60 heavy duty front springs, and a “teepee” emblem placed on either side of the cab aft of the doors. Note that both the C6P heavy duty chassis option and the F60 spring option could also be purchased separately without the camper special option if the customer so desired. Regarding the ZQ2 “Operating Convenience Package”- -this refers to a combined optional installation of power windows (option AU3) and power door locks (option A31). Note that either the windows or door locks could be purchased separately, too. Hope this clarifies things a little! Ken Lewis |

ive seen two sequoia pickups to date, last one was an 83 C20 with 350 and auto trans, 14bolt SF 9.5" rear, power doors, tilt, not silverado, so no headliner or anything, normal common 80s blue interior

I've sorta come to the conclusion that Chevy did too many different things to keep track of. I'm trying to update the wiring in my cab with a '84-'86 wiring harness. The Story:
About 5 years ago I bought a rusty '75 chevy 4x4 1/2 ton no major options except dual tanks. I bought a rust free cab from texas which ended up being a '83 cab. Just to get the truck able to drive I had to put all my '75 wiring in the '83 cab. Now I'm wanting Intermitent wipers, power windows/locks, headlight dimmer on the colum, windsheild wipers on the column, basically all the updates with the newer wiring harness. Today I looked at all the possibilites of different wiring I could use and concluded that I need a donar truck with all the stuff I need, no more trying to swap parts from a Burban, pickup, etc. My '75 wiring that goes to the starter has a wire that runs back to the fuel tank valve which I think is for the gauge from each tank. Then on the newer wiring it has only like two wires back to the tank vavle, I could just use my '75 wiring to the starter and everything should be fine except outside the cab on the fuse block the same patch of wires that run to the starter also have wires out of it that go to the wiper motor, and if I want to run updated wiring under the dash with delay wipers I'm going to need a new wiper motor, which means none of my '75 wires for the wiper motor will work. Sorry for the rant. I wish I could find a decent wiring diagram? anyone?
