67-72 trucks from Houston Mecum Auction Yesterday!

This was my first Mecum Auction, and it's amazing! I was drooling the moment I walked through the door. I have lots of pics but I'm just going to post the 67-72 trucks on here for now!

Nice trucks, and nice pics. Could you post some of the selling prices (if you remember)?

Thanks for sharing. The screen above the 72 K10 Super lists $35k - any idea if that is the sold price?

Yeah that one sold for $35k plus the buyer has to pay an 8% buyers premium plus tt&l.

I'll see if I can go back and find out the prices on the others. I know the light blue GMC short box had a high bid of $11k but the seller had a higher reserve. It was kinda rough too.

Nice assortment of trucks. I like that '70 C/20. Pretty nice job on a 3/4t. I like them all, but my favorite was that light blue GMC. The short K/10 was super nice for sure. Your Cheyenne/20 looks right at home with the others.

That black one with the side dump cut into the bed is how I plan on doing mine. Looks good and will sound even better.

I plan on going to the Indy show in May. I've went a couple of years ago and I had a great time. Thanks for sharing your pictures, and I hope you enjoyed the event.

Re: 67-72 trucks from Houston Mecum Auction Yesterday!

I was in Houston for a conference at MD Anderson and saw a group of Mecum auctioneers at my hotel. I wanted to jump in with them instead of going to the conference!

Re: 67-72 trucks from Houston Mecum Auction Yesterday!

Here are the links to a few of those trucks. They listed the Super as a 71. Passenger side door is a 72, couldn't make out the rear view mirror, and of course they've got 72 door panels. May or may not be a 71 or a Super, regardless, got '72 stuff on it. Still brought $34K:

The C-20 with dual quads (some things I just don't understand):

https://www.mecum.com/lot-detail/HA0...kup/Automatic/

The orange Blazer that brought 39K big ones...rough around the edges stomper...take home message here...if they're on stage, the top's got to come off if you want to get paid:
