Nice clean fuel tank

100% rust free inside. Reddish color seen in pictures is a little paint overspray, not rust. Would prefer local pickup but could ship on your dime. Comes with nice chrome locking cap with key and sending unit that works. Asking $75. Located in Northeast PA.

That tube is part of the EEC (Evaporative Emissions Control) that was used in 1971 and 1972 tanks. *Mine has that.

I think an original tank is the way to go. I had mine tank renewed in 2014 but if I was looking for a tank I think this one here would be a great one.

Thanks! Yes it has the EEC port as well but it's plugged off. Could be simply unplugged if you wanted to hook up the vent line.

Re: Nice clean fuel tank

I'm in Palmerton which is near the Poconos. I guess that tube is to help vent while filling.

Re: Nice clean fuel tank

What would it cost to ship to 37167? Can you take a picture of the neck with the cap off so I can see partially down inside the tank?

Re: Nice clean fuel tank

Quite honestly I'm not sure who would ship it. I guess UPS would. Let me look into it a little further. Here is the best picture I could get down the filler neck.

Re: Nice clean fuel tank

Thanks, shipping might be a problem. The last one I replaced I couldn't get rid of, no one would take it. Let me know what you find out.

Re: Nice clean fuel tank

If you ship this, BUILD A CRATE.

You could screw the thing down to one side of the crate so that it wouldn't move around.

I had an original rust-free and perfect fender shipped in a box and UPS dented it something terrible. I know it will cost a lot more but it would be worth it.

Just a "cage" built around it would do. You could wrap the cage in plastic.

Good point. Better off not shipping but we'll see what happens.

Re: Nice clean fuel tank

I think I'm going to pass as shipping is expensive. Thanks for getting the price, sorry to put you to that trouble.

Oh no need to apologize. I just measured it up and punched the info in on their website. Thanks for inquiring.
