obd2 wiring?
ok hit a wall
pin 58 goes to pin2 on obd pin 16 gets 12v battery pin 4 Look like just a ground off the body pin 5 is a blk/wht but I don't have this wire Where would it be on the pinout? Check engine light pin 46 what ground would it be just blk or is it the blk/wht that I cant find or maybe remove in a opps.Thanks Kevin |

I'm not positive, but I always thought the wire for the check engine is the computers way to provide a ground to a light wired to an open circuit. Lt1swap.com should have your answer s

Both the black and black/white wires in the OBD2 port are grounds. I usually hook them together and ground them at the back of the head where the rest of the engine harness is grounded. Personally, I wouldn't hook the ground to the body.
The check engine light wire coming out of the PCM is the ground side for the light, you need to hook the other side to a "key on" ignition source.
