Now I have to ask, who is running a "corrected" cap?
I had a thought whilst reading another thread about an engine that wouldn't start.
How many people are running an Accel Corrected Distributor cap?

The even numbered wires go on the right side and the odd on the left in order. It makes it so the wires are in the same order as the cylinder numbers.

Re: Now I have to ask, who is running a "corrected" cap?
The reviews are inconsistent at best. I've read a lot of things about misfires. Then, as I read more into it, the reviewers are vague and neglect to reveal any good details. Hard to find any truth to the matter, and it's hard for me to justify 50 bucks on a cap when there's nothing wrong with mine.

Accel designed it to clean up plug wire routing for GM's Gen I HEI V8 distributors. I can see where it would make wire routing neater. If they work well, I might get one to clean things up a bit.

Re: Now I have to ask, who is running a "corrected" cap?
It's the same thing GM did with the Vortec distributor cap. Every time my van (5.7 Vortec) starts misfiring I head to the auto parts store and spend another $50 or $60 bucks for a new cap.
I'll keep my old-style cap on my HEI. |

Re: Now I have to ask, who is running a "corrected" cap?
First off, every where I looked said it was out of stock, including the Accel website itself.
Second, most of the reviews say it's junk. So I'm guessing it's out of stock everywhere because Accel pulled it to try and fix it.

OR maybe they are retooling to get the 1357,2468 numbering down....
