67-72 frame and suspension
i have been looking for a 67-72 swb fleetside for quite a while now, but the only ones i can find in my price range are longbeds. i read an article in custom classic trucks where they shorten a longbed. also somewhere i read that the suspensions for 73-87 are almost the same as the 67-72. is this true? if so i would plan on buying a longbed 67-72 and using a shortbed frame from a 73-87.(i have access to one that rolled, but the frame is straight) otherwise i would shorten the longbed. my overall plan is to have a 67-72 swb fleetside slammed.

I am not sure about the switching to the 73-87 frame. I dont think the cab mounts are anywhere close as well as the bed mounts. Call Turners in CALI as he sells a kit that shows you how and where to cut as well as the plate to do this. 909-926-1729. I feel like I work for this guy but he has alot for these trucks when it comes to suspension.
