Mothertruckers is the cheapest I've seen. I'm pretty sure they all come from the same manufacture. If you go to their web site and look under "MISC PARTS" you'll see the listing. They have actually dropped their price:

Mothertruckers web site said shipping was only $35.00. I didn't check out all the way, but my order total with the reproduction hatch and shipping came to $414. Is your hatch totally thrashed? I know a guy here in Washington that redoes them if they aren't in too bad of shape. Probably for less than that. Either that or just be patient and keep lookin' for a used one....you will find one.

Re: Rear Hatch
I stumbled across this thread and was curious - I see repop hatches being sold on Brothers and Atheys and this BowTieBits. Are they all manufactured from the same place? Is this BowTieBits? Just curious. My top is in good shape but the hatch is destroyed. This would be a much quicker solution if any of these hatches are going to fit. BUT, if the fit is as crappy as most say, then it does sound quicker to fix my original.
Thanks guys! |

Re: Rear Hatch
#1Call Wes at ClassicHeartbeat.com .. he will help you, and he is right next to you in Washington. In my opinion, the repop hatch that I bought was worthless.. I sold it cheap, but would have rather given it away than used it. Fit was way beyond useless. IMHO (and no I didnt buy it from Wes... I bought it several years back.
or#2, the guy from Vintage Chevy Trucks here in Calif. will probably have a very good used one, but it wont be cheap. do a Google search for him. Here is the repop hatch I sold... Looks Great Huh? It Wasnt...really. Last edited by Tom Vogel; 09-06-2010 at 10:37 AM. |

Re: Rear Hatch
I replaced all of my original back glass. The green hue was available at my local auto glass installer. All of the glass is perfectly flat so he used my old glass as a template to cut out the new glass. Looks just like the original.
