rear end question
I have a 70 chevy 4wd and was wondering if the 12 bolt 4wd in 70 is the same as a 72 chevy 4wd 12 bolt

I believe the 72 is longer than the 70. It has to do to front disc brakes added in 71.

On the two wheel drive trucks, the 70-72 rears are the same width. Not sure on the 4x4, but logic suggests it would be... But you know how that goes.

One other question the drums are smooth on the 70 and the 72 are finned. Did they switch in 72. Thanks
