valve seals

So an old trick my grandpa told me was to put ford/bonet seals in along with chevy valve seals on a 350. Is this a hill Billy way or is this a true story? And if so which ones do I use mine really needs it.

Re: valve seals

took awhile to find, but fel-pro SS 72527 is listed for a 81-96 smallblock chevy. I used them on my 73 motor no problem. I bought two sets and used them on intake and exhaust. done that on a few motors with excellent results. no more blue smoke on startup.
none of the parts stores listings will actually show you this part # if you ask for your motor. took some digging to find.
