Is there any such thing as a right side A/C bracket
I'm changing things around during my crate engine install. Since I'm also going to headers, I want to move away from exhaust mounted brackets.
My 86 C20 has a R4 A/C compressor which I'm planning on giving it the big toss, and go to a Sanden R134A Compressor. I have been looking over all the options of custom and other year engine accessories. I don't understand way it seams everyone who has designed a bracket. Puts the said part up on top of the engine, rather than hid it. Its not like most older Chevys lacked room under the hood. I would like to move the A/C compressor to the right(passenger)side of the engine compartment. Under the Alt, nice and neat. If anyone knows of such animal, please pull my chain. Thank you Ken the aluminum polishing fool. Did you know that P/S lines will look like chrome with just a little elbow grease. KA

Alan Grove makes a low mount but it compromises the fuel pump. Workable or adaptable.

That low mount looks interesting but I'd like to see one mounted on a square. It looks like it'd get into the frame rail. Are you using one?

Re: Is there any such thing as a right side A/C bracket
I have looked at the one already, it will be a close fit with the frame rail. Plus I don't want to mess with a electric fuel pump and regulator.
I may end up adapting something, I already have the Sanden compressor from past projects. And making new A/C lines isn't a issue. I'm going to go with a 134A Style condenser also while apart.

Here is an Alan Groves mounted in the stock location but it mounts to the front of the block. I think I also had to use the one for the ps steering pump to lower it a little to make it all fit.
