Re: how to get clips in holes on stainless door moldings on 56 gmc
I recently had a thread on this a couple months ago. After much consternation, I ended up tweaking each clip slightly with a couple pair of needle nose pliers to reduce the angle of the tip of the clip. I also snipped off about an 1/8" off the tips. There are holes around the top of the door where the clips bottom out if they are not trimmed. DON'T tweak the tip angle too much as it takes some tension to hold the molding against the cab. Bend the angle a tiny bit and try pushing in the hole until it feels right.
