Advice on 350 Crate

I have a 35 GM Goodwrench Crate that appears to be all stock in a 68 C-10 longbed. I know the engine was replaced but I have no idea how long it has been in the truck or how many miles. Did compression check and had 2 cylinders with 0 compression. Starting opening the motor up and found 2 broken push rods. Cam appears ok as lifter travel was good. Exhaust and intake valves on 3,5,4,6 were white and when passenger head was pulled, number 4 had a buildup of oil on top of piston.

Heads going to machine shop to check. Looking for cam advice for an otherwise stock motor. Can anyone recommend a place for good rockers, pushrods, good but inexpensive gasket set and plugs.

Any other things I should check for? What about a good quadrajet rebuild kit. I think the fuel bowls were leaking and have caused the rings to wash out some.

Re: Advice on 350 Crate

Northern Auto Parts has cheap parts and gaskets. $219 master kit for 350.
