3/4 Ton chassis
Hey guys you are all a wealth of knowledge so I am going to ask here. I am in the market for a LWB chassis and have found a couple "locally" but what I need to know is, are all 3/4 ton chassis the same. Meaning I know they came either coil or leaf spring rear suspension but are the frame rails the same for both models? Does the coil 3/4 still use the smaller section width rails. I actually have a C10 and am looking for a frame to build up wile still enjoying the truck.

The frames are the same. Brackets and bracings might be different.

I have a straight bare 72 c10 lwb frame no front cross member still has trailing arms and rear coils. $100. Road trip (for you)

It's more complicated than that as a Longhorn is a 3/4 ton but has 1-ton rails and so. I think if you stick to LWB (not 133) it's more predictable.

I don't think there are any Longhorn 1/2 ton units. So far as I'm aware you could get 3/4 ton or 1-ton and there's not a lot of difference between the two. Don't know why they're not just all 1-ton, they already have the rails, and I think only the front suspension and maybe leafs differ.

Someone posted the specs on these frames a few years ago. 1/2, 3/4, & 1 ton frames look the same but the rail thickness is different. Progressively thicker, stronger. I lost those frame specs to a crash.

Thanks for that I did see these specs on the site someware and was curious to ton if maybe some of the leaf/coil configurations used different frames.

Ez way to tell 3/4 from 1/2 from pic is the 1/2 t rear body mounts match frame height, 3/4's are lower..

He was looking for a 1/2 or 3/4 lwb.
I have a 68 and 70 3/4 lwb and just sold the 72 1/2 LWB. Should be getting another 72 LWB this coming weekend......
