60-62 GMC to Chevy cab swap question
Newbie here -
I am looking at a 61 GMC 3/4T 4x4 that needs a new cab. Will a 60 - 62 Chevy cab drop right in or will I have to modify the mount locations? Thanks. Bill |

Re: 60-62 GMC to Chevy cab swap question
60-62 cabs will interchange with no issues. The frame/cab mount location changed in 63 and ran until 66....so they can create some small issues (mounting locations), but they can be fixed to fit also.
60-62 would be the easiest route for a cab swap.

Re: 60-62 GMC to Chevy cab swap question
Unless you have a cab from a 63 Medium or Heavy Duty which will fit without having to drill new mounting holes.

Re: 60-62 GMC to Chevy cab swap question
Thanks. I suspected as much, but why take a chance?
I prefer the style of the Chevy cab interior over the GMC. |
