1970 C50 vs 1970 C20???
I found a 1970 C50 in the junkyard. I was wondering if the dash harness would work on my 1970 C20 since they both have the same cluster. My harness is all cut up and missing connectors.
I can see there are different firewalls between the C50 and C20, but the dash looks the same. One weird thing I notice is the truck has a factory push button radio listed and the antenna, but has a factory delete plate. I'm guessing since the firewall is recessed so far back that there isn't room for the radio in the normal place? I pulled the delete plate but I'm thinking of pulling the dash harness in hopes I can use it.

I think the color is 606 blue because that was the only color code on the SPID I saw.

Re: 1970 C50 vs 1970 C20???
I bet it would work, and there is room for a radio in the dash of the C-50.
Man I have been wanting one for 3 or 4 years now and have been collecting extra stuff like a extra front. I plan on making a dually type truck out of one and the extra fenders are going on the back turned around so the wheel humps can match and I planned on making full length running boards with a 454 t400[or 4l80E]and tilt column and bucket seats. I have seen one down the road from me that had the Custom package with chrome window strips and nice seat and door panels. That same guy had one once with air, now that would be a good find. Jim |

Are the front ends shorter on the C50s. Looks like a few inches shorter to me. I'll pull the dash harness and cluster out tomorrow. Hope I can use something from it. The yard by me even has a C60 right next to the C50
