Stock radiator trans line threads?
I ran braided hose for my trans line (6an) and bought an adapter that is 1/4 pipe thread to go into the rad. It's leaking and I didn't get a great feeling threading it in. I heard that you can use pipe thread fittings but doesn't seem to be working.
What I'd really like to do is get the AN fitting that goes to npt thread. Anyone do this and what size? I'm guessing 1/4 npt. It's a 67 stock radiator. |

Re: Stock radiator trans line threads?
Those threads are different. They're flare fittings. They don't seal on the thread, they seal on the flare. Hope you didn't make them useless now.

I think I found what I'm looking for. It's 1/4" npsm threads with a flare. It needs that flare to seal. 1/4" thread will work but not seal. Found the fittings on jegs.
