Tail light/back up light mounting question...

Do the tail light and backup buckets on a fleet side mount directly to the mounting surface in the hole or is there a gap? I have aftermarket bedsides and it seems like the mounting surface is recessed to far. Does anyone have any pictures of them mounted correctly? TIA.

Yes, they mount directly to the tabs. With the lens installed the outside lip of the lens should be flush with the outside edge of the opening or inset just a small amount..... No pictures on the computer.

Here's some on e-bay. Check the orange one about 4 down.
