Rubber or Poly?
I'm replacing all the rubber bushings in my '72 GMC and am debating original rubber vs. polyurethane. I'm concerned about the noise and harshness of the poly but am curious about how much of a difference it would make to the overall handling. Anyone put poly in and regret it? People satisfied with rubber?

Re: Rubber or Poly?
from everything that I read everyone recommended going with rubber for the mounts. That what I did and they work great.

Re: Rubber or Poly?
Now they WILL affect the handle on the truck/car they are put on. But they squeak and make the ride rough[er]. I would recommend staying with a [quality] type rubber product.

Re: Rubber or Poly?
I have used poly engine and transmission mounts but will never do so again they transmitt to much vibiration. The only place for poly on my trucks now is sway bar bushings.

Re: Rubber or Poly?
Thanks to all the replies. I'm going to go with rubber and then poly in the sway bars.
