I have been wanting to take my father n laws 67 GMC C30 and convert to a k30. He bought it new. However I keep thinking about finding a Chevy C30 with AC to do one with. Low and behold this goes cones up for sale. Now I am scrambling to find the extra cash. 68 Chevy.

Fyi, looks like it could be a 72 cab.. No hand brake, accelerater, doors etc. hard to tell in the pics.

Definitely 1972 doors...you can tell by the extra screw under the vent window on the passenger side.

But hey, it's got some good things going for it: dump bed, manual in floor, AC...

I hope you can get it man.

the doors are from a 72 atleast due to the extra screw and the door panels. either way though, it is a really nice looking truck

I am trying to get ahold of him now so I can go look at it. Won't be able to look until first of the week as I am busy with my business every weekend. This guy doesn't seem to know a whole bunch about it as he bought it for some store they had. It is supposed to have a 350 out of an 86 van that had low miles with four speed. The previous owner owns an interior shop hence the new seat cover etc. That is about all I know at this time other than the hood was replaced due to a branch falling on it. Do those wheels look bigger than 16.5's? I was wondering if they were 19.5's.

72 gas pedal too. and no hand park brake. i wonder if when the changed the hood, they changed the front clip?

The guy finally got back to me. He is out of town although he said he has someone coming to look at it on Monday. I guess I will see how monday goes.

I went and looked at the truck yesterday. It seemed like it was in pretty good shape for the most part. It ran good and the twin post hoist worked well except for a leaking cylinder which would be no big deal.

Maybe it was just me but I started to get the feeling about the truck that I should just walk away. Paint seemed to be a cheap repaint although it looked decent. It was starting to get cracks in the paint and rust was seeping out in places. I think I would rather have seen it before paint so I would know what I was looking at. None of the AC stuff was on the firewall and all of the grommets in the firewall were missing exposing the inside of the cab. Wiring was decent for the most part except for a couple of connections made with butt connectors.

I just started to get that feeling for some reason to leave it be. Not sure why but I usually follow that. It seemed pretty solid though but for the money I didn't think it was where it should be. Was going to need new tires which was taken into consideration. I wasn't looking for a show truck but didn't feel like this was the one.
