49 fender bolts
where can I get new carriage bolt style bolts that attach the rear fender support to the outside center of the fender. the two little bolts dead center above the wheel well on the outside. smallest carriage bolt I could find is 1/4

I believe those are supposed to be rivets. I'd guess you could use about a #10 carriage bolt and have the heads be close to the correct size.

yea just found the #10 carriage bolts at my local hardware. they are dead on in size. just have to polish off the little casting marks on the head. thanks buddy

I got to it by searching for rivet head machine screws.

I have found that If you have a good Ace hardware store anywhere close that you can find most any fastener that you need, and most will look close to original. If you are doing an exact original restoration you will probably be forced to obtain some of them from a vendor.
