Re: New Painless Harness NO turn Signal Blinkers
This might sound really dumb but try replacing the flasher. Also make sure the emergency flashers are off. My 69' emergency flashers don't work and when they are turned on, neither do the turn signals.

Re: New Painless Harness NO turn Signal Blinkers
painless has 2 flashers; turn and hazards
try your hazards and then swap out the flashers also sometimes with the hazard button partially in the blinkers won't work or the front lights come on with the brakes

Re: New Painless Harness NO turn Signal Blinkers
look at the steering column connector and check for 12 volts on the purple wire with the key on. Since your key switch is burnt up you probably won't have any voltage there. This is probably why the turn signals don't work. your wipers and heater fan are on the same circuit. There is a 12 gauge brown wire on the accessory terminal of the key switch that sends power to the fuse panel. this wire must have 12 voltage on it to power the turn signals.

Re: New Painless Harness NO turn Signal Blinkers
purple is turn flasher, should be hot with key on only
brown is hazard flasher, should be hot with key on/off
