Factory single wheel 1 ton

Was there any factory single wheel 1 ton short beds or was there all long beds

I would have to say all long beds. I have never seen a short bed 1 ton.

Back in those days, it was possible to order many customized options... But the stark differences between 1/2 and 1T frames leads me to believe you couldn't do it.

I was thinking the same thing, I a chance to buy a front and rearend from a short bed but the guy was telling me that it was a factory 1 ton. He is selling them both to me for 500.00 and they have 5.13 gears. Win win for me!!!!

Short wheel base was available in 1/2 ton only.

Yeah first gm short bed on a 1 ton was in the late 88-98 body style.

And not till take in the production run... I believe it was only a crewcab shortbed only.

The extended cab had some short beds the crew cab short bed was really late in that body style like 98 or 99.In the square body style a lot of people have made their own crew cab short beds lately so it can be done.
