Big block donor found

Just bought a destroyed old RV for $300, which happens to have a freshly professionally rebuilt 454 big block with 4 bolt mains in it. Rebuild has less than 5000 on it. Not to mention a new propane generator that will be salvaged and sold. That big block is going to look good in between the frame rails of my 1970 4x4 shorted project!

Great deal, but that must have been a really hard 5000 miles.

Sure did live in the oil field, in the Bakken. Or as people here like to cal it...."housing". And your right, a brand new vehicle looks like this after a few months here.

Re: Big block donor found

Nice buy. Ive seen some pretty good deals around here lately. Question for ya since you're in Dickinson, do you know what the classic car place is called thats by the mall? A coworker was telling me about it and I wasn't aware there was one down there.

Re: Big block donor found

Funny, I just bought an 01 suburban with an 8.1(for my wife, wink wink) all I can think is if something ever happens to it and gives me a reason to pull the motor, it's definitely going in my k/20 pretty cool score keep us posted on the transplant!

Re: Big block donor found

68350- it's Dvorak Motors. I wouldn't call them a classic car dealer though. They are a used car dealer that occasionally gets a decent classic car. They had a 55 Chevy recently but it must have had 50 gallons of bondo in it.
