Source for ignition switch plug
I fried my ignition switch plug in my 64 SWB C10. I have been unable to find a source for the plug that goes into the back of the ignition switch. Any ideas where I can get one?

I'd try American Autowire. Contact them directly....bet they'd sell you one if you can't source it anywhere else.

I had the same issue. These wiring harness people don't want to sell any connectors, just whole harnesses. I ended up getting the plastic body from an original scrapped harness and moved the original wires over to the "new" body. The terminals are still available if you need to make other repairs. They are Packard 56 series female.

You will probably have to find a good plug off of a used harness. If just your plastic connector is melted you can reuse your original wires and terminals, but usually if the connector melts, so do the wires. Best bet is to find a wiring harness that you can get the plug and several inches of the wiring with it. It sucks having to cut up your original harness, but that's about the only way to fix it! If you can't find one locally I'm sure I have a good one on one of my parts trucks. Joseph

Thanks for all of the replies I greatly appreciate it. I have been unable to locate just the connector so I am going with individual wires and connectors that will all be heat shrunk into a single bundle/harness.
