CL ad: 71 K20 $2100 with slots and cab clearance lights
The title says it all. Cool truck for the price and it comes with two biggees (well, biggees on "my" list of biggees, that is), slots and cab lights. And me thinks me sees some hooks, Arrrrr! Enjoy. Not mine.

Well, as luck would have it, here's another, so I'll post in the same thread. Very similar, 71 K20 with cab clearance lights. Better body, bigger price. Enjoy. http://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/cto/5118984130.html

Re: CL ad: 71 K20 $2100 with slots and cab clearance lights
you'd think for $15k a guy could put matching wheels on (at least paint the split rim black) and put a pair of headlight doors in.
I like the stockness of the Medium Olive truck, but the white one has that veteran of the era look that draws me to it. I'm more into that "Same as always" or "left alone" look over the pretty & perfect more than ever.

Re: CL ad: 71 K20 $2100 with slots and cab clearance lights
Sometimes I don't get people. He could do a few tiny things and make that truck look twice as good as it does, and probably sell a lot easier. The one white wheel immediately makes me wonder what else he was too lazy to do....

The body on the green one does look pretty nice but not 15 nice. Both have excellent potential.

I'd rather have the white one also. Northwest metal is better than northeast bondo. The grill looks to be just set in there unfastened on the green truck.

If I had a couple grand in my project fund that I didn't have earmarked for something else I would buy that white 71. Exactly what I need if I ever get the itch to put together My 68 K20 50th. I have sons, nephews, and grandkids that would love to have something like that.

Re: CL ad: 71 K20 $2100 with slots and cab clearance lights
I think the green one is missing a headlight bucket, making the grille look goofy. But it is definitely unfinished. If you check out the link, the exhaust appears to be hangin on by a thread. This is a GREAT truck if you like med olive and want the body work done, but the rest has a ways to go. $15k is more finished product price range to me. And I agree, the sole split rim on the corner isn't helping things. I'd buy 7 of the white one before I'd buy the greenie. But that's just me. The bodywork and paint looks real nice on the green one, but the other takeaways make it look like that's all that's been done. Who knows, it might be a singly tire and wheel, and some trim, etc away from stardom. Hard to tell with the pics provided in the ad.

The white one has been for sale for a few months now. I thought about getting another 4x4 but just don't need another project lol

Re: CL ad: 71 K20 $2100 with slots and cab clearance lights
WOW!! At $15000 for that green one, I "gave" my 1972 Cheyenne Super K-20 away for peanuts!! This truck had a lot of nice options on it: K-20, air, tilt, a.m.f.m., tack and gauges, cargo light, slider, 4-speed. Nice truck just wish I hadn't sold it!! My current C-20 Cheyenne Super took it's place, set up just about like the old K-20!! I did keep my extreme bend '72 tow hooks!

All the other take-aways on the green truck make me wonder about the quality of body work done
