Tail Light Picture Request
I determined that I needed to replace the crappy tail lights and bought all new LED in some nice chrome housing. Here is the issue. The existing lights bolt through the side of the stake pocket. The new ones mount to a plate that extends from the back of the stake pocket.
What I need is a photo of how they mount correctly and where the wires pass back through the stake pocket. Please and thanks. The picture is what I will be installing.

Re: Tail Light Picture Request
Tire Guy, this is gonna be a nice reliable truck with the way you're working on it, good job.
I have no picture of which you are asking, but, I may save you time if you are not familiar with the extremely low amperage needed to light those lights. I also used LED lights, the current draw is so low that a regular flasher will not flash. You might need a special flasher that has it's own ground and is made for LED light usage. The new flasher will fit the same as the old flasher, it just has a ground wire you will need to ground. If you already knew this.... perhaps this will useful for someone else, like me when I wired my truck a few months ago. lol

Re: Tail Light Picture Request
I believe flasher only gets replaced if front and back are leds. Back only can be fixed by adding a resistor in the wiring so the flasher senses the right resistance. Here is a search, choose your poison...

Re: Tail Light Picture Request
you can get an electronic flasher at most parts stores for under 10 bucks. much easier than wiring in resistors.

Re: Tail Light Picture Request
I put one on my motorcycle when I switched it over to LEDs on the back. It still has a regular turn signal bulbs up front. Just went to Napa and got a standard electronic flasher for a car or truck. From what I can tell, it flashes at the same rate regardless of load unlike the regular mechanical flashers.

Re: Tail Light Picture Request
Here ya go. I don't think I needed a special LED flasher and I believe the resistors are already on the LED's. Ran my wiring underneath in stainless conduit.
