K20 big block shorty headers?

I'm swapping a 454 into my '67 K20 and like many of you already know there aren't any decent options for long tube headers. Is there any reason I can't use a set of shortys? Maybe some block huggers? Something like these? http://m.summitracing.com/parts/snh-bb8-p I really don't want to use those ugly manifolds that came with the engine...
