Looking for "Survivor" 67-72 truck

I'm always watching for excellent condition unmolested stock/original trucks but I want to widen my search by reaching out here. Ideally, I want to stick with fleetside V-8/automatic transmission trucks. LWB/SWB 2 or 4-wheel drive will all be considered. Original paint is a huge plus. If you know of a candidate and owner contact please forward it to me.

Re: Looking for "Survivor" 67-72 truck

It definitely fits the bill, but was repainted by the dealer in 1981.

I love that blue one. Those mirrors and the aux doors in the bed make it IMHO.

Re: Looking for "Survivor" 67-72 truck

I have a original 1972 C10 short wide box 2 wheel drive that I purchased from the original owner. 105,000 miles. came from Arkansas. Never had seen work. Originally had a topper on the bed and was only used to sleep in by original owner when he was out tending to his livestock.
It has a 350 with turbo 350 at. power steering. All original paint and very little rust.
Plans are to restore to a Cheyenne supper using all NOS body trim wood grain which I have been collection for over 20 years .
Will try to get some pics posted.

Re: Looking for "Survivor" 67-72 truck

68bowtie ! I have been collecting and rebuilding these trucks since 1976 when I bought my first 68 chevy truck and have had many since. Have looked for many years to find that special one and this is it. Will post pics later. Since I got it back up and running with all stock running gear last week. It has deffinitly been a head turner especially for a unrestored short wide 2 wd truck. every where I go someone is complementing on what a clean survivor it is and others think they can get a good deal on this one. My response is it is not for sale. After looking for 20 years , after I sold my last real nice short box , it would take a large sum of money to pry my fingers away from the keys on this one..
I had promises the owners son that I was not going to hack it up and save this one.

There has been a nice one on Des Moines Craigslist. I can't link it because I'm on my phone. Look up 1972 Chevy Cheyenne. It's dark olive.

I looked at that truck a few weeks ago and was pretty disappointed. It's definitely a 10-footer.
