Vintage Brush/Grill Guard F/S

Posting this for Dave K. who has first dibs as he posted he is looking for such.

Solid and heavy built, made from 1 1/2'' x 3/8'' strap and plate. Measures 25 1/2'' mounting bolt center to center. 1'' mount hole slots at 6'' center to center. Not sure of original application, looks to be factory after market built but have not found a tag or stamp. A bit of welding and can be made to fit any frame horn spread for mounting. Not flat across the front, has a 1'' factory formed V starting from center to outer edges. $100, prefer local pickup or possible delivery in Wichita, Ks. area. If shipping (UPS local shipper) money order or $$ only, do not have Paypal.

Re: Vintage Brush/Grill Guard F/S

That would look nice powder coated white. I'd be interested if Dave K passes pending ship cost to business address at 87103 and dimensions allow bolt-on for a 72 Chevy.

Re: Vintage Brush/Grill Guard F/S

That would do the trick for just about anyone. I'd get the surface rust and paint off and either spray paint or powder coat.

I have one from a member here, a Luverne (still has sticker) that I plan to put on at some point.

Well I hope you do get it. I think the owner has had that thing for sale on here before, but wasn't able to find a buyer. I want one on my truck to prevent a deer or dog hit breaking out my plastic (egg crate) grill.

Shipping such a heavy, large part as this usually kills the deal as it did last time I listed this. This is really stout and a bit of TLC could be made to look really good on a truck.

DeadheadNM, thanks to you and SSTim for the pic. Way Cool.

Thanks for posting this Bimco info, never knew before but always thought the guard was a after market mfg. and not home made. The powder coat looks great.

Was the swap meet you you went to at the Lawrence Fair Grounds? I usually go to that but could not make it this year. Randy aka teeitup sets up there. Great guy who has a LOT of parts and LOVES to talk trucks.

Re: Vintage Brush/Grill Guard F/S

Yes sir , that's where i found it, and thanks for the compliment. Talked to Randy while i was there too. He is a great guy that loves these old trucks. This particular guard had never been on a truck, no rust and extremely straight. Looks just like the one for sale above. All we did was powder coat it
