Re: Pic Of my 65 Chevy frame
Did you leave the 2wd crossmember in place?

Yes I did and added bump stops to the bottom , also to retain my engine mounting brackets.

Picture is very grainy for me. Hard to see what's going on.

Re: Pic Of my 65 Chevy frame
Is the crossmember going to interfere with the front driveshaft or anything else when the suspension cycles?

Re: Pic Of my 65 Chevy frame
You're going to have a problem with the front differential hitting the 2wd suspension crossmember. Why not just use the engine crossmember from the Blazer?

Re: Pic Of my 65 Chevy frame
It doesn't have to be from just a Blazer......we're working on Chevy's here not F*&ds. All '67-'72 K5,K10, K20 and K30 engine crossmembers are the same. You could also use the engine crossmember from a '73-'87 K5, K10, K20 or K30, but some modification will be needed.

Re: Pic Of my 65 Chevy frame
that looks like the complete unit
you could also source one out of a 73-87, I used one in my sub, had to cut the mounts down just a little , which you can see in the pic

Re: Pic Of my 65 Chevy frame
mine has a 4 inch lift, and I don't plan on using it for anything other than winter transport, so I didn't feel that it would ever move enough to hit the bumpstop.
however I did save all the bumpstops off the 87 , there was one that the diff would hit, and another 2 for the spring pads...
