lokar ED-5002 dipstick will not fit
So i ordered a ED-5001 for my blazer with a GM crate 350 that i purchased in 2001. I noticed that it was the wrong one when i looked at the block, so i ordered a ED-5002 for a pre-1979 block. The hole on my crate engine is too small. I went to try it on my original engine that sitting on my stand and it fit right on.
Why would a gm crate engine have a different hole dimension for the dip on a crate motor? Or am am doing something wrong? Thanks, |

Not to be upsetting to ya, but so many parts.........so little time.
That remind ya of something, to me the aftermarket gets scrutinized to great extent. |

Yes I figures it out. I borrowed a pin gauge set and was finally able to determine there was years of build up on the lip if the hole. After rigging up some interesting handles to a fine round file I was able to clean it out enough to put the tube it. If it wasn't for the pin gauge set I still would have been scratching my head.
