Sometimes We Get Lucky (parts)
Bought a parts truck on the cheap and the seller tells me he has a load of parts to throw in to sweeten the deal. Come to find out there all in GM wrappers with receipts from 1987. Soo happy now ....

Re: Sometimes We Get Lucky (parts)
i looked for 10 years for a 57 GMC owners manual, ebay amazon, everywhere. never seen one in 10 years, never seen one , all I knew was that it was "the comic book" owners manual.
bought a 57 11 miles from home sold by my girlfriends father in 1957 less than 350 vehicles apart from another one I own, also sold by the father. from the same dealership also in 57, in its glove box was the origonal owners manual. comic book style and an even rarer "supplimental" 1957 type addednum manual never knew it existed. both of them in the glove box. so yea, that kool factor is out there! Re: Sometimes We Get Lucky (parts)
Most of it is still in unopened wrappers but It could be a possibility with the stuff that's not... I couldn't find any stamps on the grill surround. But then again it doesn't have a box

Re: Sometimes We Get Lucky (parts)
Probably for the dash pad. Too short for upper bed moldings. I can't tell what the black things are upper RH 1st picture. Maybe 1972 door handles.

Re: Sometimes We Get Lucky (parts)
Long tube had the dash pad in it... all interior pieces are black... I wouldn't even know how to price this stuff... looked all over ebay and most of the stuff isn't on there... any idea where to look for markings for the grill surround I'm not 100% it's GM... I got really really lucky

Re: Sometimes We Get Lucky (parts)
Nice score there CheyenneSuper . I have been searching for 15 years for those pieces and finally have all trim needed to do a complete frame off restoration.
Way cool. Vic |
