Rim restoration and hubcap questions
I have been breaking down my truck and having parts sandblasted and thought the rims might need the blast but after taking them off I dont know, they arent all rusted like I thought they might be.
So I have 2 questions
Here is a pic of the rims, the tires that came off measure P235/75/R15 |

Re: Rim restoration and hubcap questions
Those hubcaps will not fit the rally wheels you have. The center for rally wheels use bolts to hold them on. The hubcaps need the nubs on the center of the wheel to snap onto. You would need a regular steel wheel. You could post those up for sale somewhere and get a good set of steel wheels and have them powder coated.

Re: Rim restoration and hubcap questions
Thats exactly what I had going on,
I always liked what was more stock like this But the dog dish caps for a 66 are not cheap and Ive seen that 75 style painted white with red center and for a temporary I thought I might try that. But sounds like neither will work on these rims I have. Thanks for the help guys. |

Re: Rim restoration and hubcap questions
I understand what you want to do. Those rallys you show are 15 x 8 inches wide and trying to find steel rims that are 15 x 8 with 6 holes is tough and usually they are expensive when you find them. You could always use the stock 15 x 5.5 or 6.5 steel rims that were on the 67-70 trucks and they have the nibs for the small hubcaps. It looks like you would have to get smaller tires as well if you went with the 5.5 or 6.5's.
