my first blazer
just bought this 1971 2wd blazer yesterday and I cant wait to get it home, I first saw this blazer about 7 years ago and its the reason I got into 67-72 chevs. I looked for a blazer for awhile since this one wasn't for sale at the time but they were always too far away or too much money, I ended up settling for a 68 chev long box that I have been working on for the last 4 years
when I saw it up for sale I got that nervous feeling and was excited at the same time, I messaged the guy and talked to him about it and he had someone coming at 10am to look at it. I thought for sure I had missed the boat on it, at 9:45 he messaged me and told to come take a look at it the other buyers wife didn't approve, iam pretty excited to own the truck that started my addiction it had a 468 stroker in it with a th400 but I bought it without the motor and trans. I don't have any big plans for it yet but so far my plan is to put my motor and trans from my 68 in it as well as my 4/5 lowering kit. It was gold but the guy I bought it from didn't care for it and sprayed it with flat black primer, I prefer the gold so im going to try and remove the black primer heres a couple pics happy to join the blazer family! |

Re: my first blazer
Congrats on your new blazer.
Great story behind it. This reminded me of the blazer that got me hooked long ago. Long story short,i actually met the owner 20 years later and we now swap parts all the time. The blazer I used to see years ago hasn't changed a bit. Good luck on yours and Gold would look great.
