Got another new pickup

Just liked this one up, along with another one for parts. Bought from original family, been inside for thirty years. 66 gmc custom with power steering power breaks and an automatic. Old tores still held air and the bed wood is in great shape. Needs a bath though but there is something about dsty pictures. Thought I'd share! Passenger side is a lot better but very very minimal rust. More pictures to come

Thanks for flipping the picture, not sure how it got turned sideways. Pretty excited about it, not too excited about the mouse nest under the hood

Re: Got another new pickup

I have a feeling the rear end is out since the cover is only held on by a few bolts..haven't hand time to take it off the trailer or clean it yet. I may be able to put a wax job on it, at least I hope.

Found a few things in the glove box. Not sure of the motor was replaced but the red tag has 66 gm written in pen on it. Love going through the glove boxes of these things

Re: Got another new pickup

Somewhere under the mouse nests and whatnot there's a 305 v6 I believe. Still spins by hand, and the power steering is all there

Does it happen to have the rare TH400 transmission? What automatic does it have?

Re: Got another new pickup

Another farm fresh Kansas truck, still a few of these around but getting harder to find. I like the color combo. Please post some more pics when you get her cleaned up. My 66 was sitting in a cow lot for at least 4 years, never know where you will find your next one! Joseph

Re: Got another new pickup

Hopefully ill get it cleaned up and see what my wiring problems will all consist of to start with this weekend. Picking up the parts truck this weekend, thinking if it wont take too incredibly much to get it running ill swap rear ends out from the parts truck and have the original rebuilt when I have the chance. Washed it off, but it was pretty dark so ill get some pictures up of her before too long. I have a few hours of blasting the engine compartment waiting for me this weekend.

Here is one picture of it after I washed it, my phone only lets me put one picture on. Does anyone know where to get an engine harness for a 305?

Re: Got another new pickup

Now that you have a GMC I'd recommend making an account here as well. Lot of GMC gurus here.
