Well, turns out the file is a PowerPoint presentation of an accident report....um...translate to the board:

USA Liquid Oxygen Cylinder Explosion

Improper methods used to render scrap cylinder unserviceable
Unsafe modifications to cylinder design

Accident Profile

Two individuals (ages 42 and 60) found a liquid oxygen cylinder that had been removed from service and left at a scrap metal dealer
The individuals were self-employed in scrap metal cutting operations and intended to use the cylinder in their work
The individuals had access to a liquid oxygen supplier where cylinder ownership would not be questioned
Jury-rigging fill connections, the first attempt to fill the cylinder resulted in rapid venting through the Pressure Relief Device (PRD)
The PRD was removed and plugged
The cylinder was filled while onboard a pickup truck
The cylinder, which had no vacuum, was now unable to vent excess pressure
While the cylinder was being transported down a busy highway, the pickup truck experienced a flat tire
Shortly thereafter, the cylinder exploded with the results shown in the following slides:

I'd like their definition of "survived"!! Do thay have all their limbs, eyes, face, etc. It is unbelievable that they are alive at all!!!! Another miracle the severed gas line in the building didn't ignite!!! By the description of them, they may not have insurance to pay for all the damage either.

had to deal with that stuff in the navy. very dangerous stuff. when it is in liquid form you don't wnt to mix it with oil or any combustable material and step on it. it will remove your foot when you add fuel, lox and compresion.

I thought this might arouse some interest. And yes it wasn't a 67-72 but it looks like (it was) a 73-85 vintage model from the salvage yard shot of the front.
