Vent window assembly
Will the 1979 vent window assembly fit the 1985 pickup.? They look like they have a little more angle than the 85. But that is looking at a on-line photo.

I'm using 89 vents in my 78 Jimmy doors ,with the button locks,bolted right in.
so I'd say yes

The glass itself is different between those years but the frame fit in the doors the same, so yes you can use them. I am using 78 doors with my 86 vent and side windows.

The one's I've seen look nothing alike the 70's ones have more angle then mine.

Yes, 77 to 80 glass go up almost to a pint at the top. 81 to 87 glass rounds off at the top. The glass itself is not interchangeable but the the whole frame assembly is, meaning the door shell will accept either of the vent window frames.
