engine block code?
what does CFD 207 mean, I found this code on the side of the engine block.

it means Central Foundry Division casting 207
engine casting number 14010207 80-85 350 block

Did you get it off one of the pass. head pad?
There is a number at the back of the block on the drivers side. You will probably have to climb up in there to check it out. Its right above the transmission and behind the valve cover. If you get it check here: www.mortec.com You should be able to find out what engine you have and some specifics about it.
