1971 drain on battery
Okay so mt my question is why does my battery get drained? I just recently got my pick up running and some what driving and I've been able to go up and down the block some but then if I shut it off my battery is dead and doesn't have enough juice to start the truck again? Would this be because of my alternator or what else could cause this?

Re: 1971 drain on battery
Time to break out the VOM (or test light) and start pulling fuses / lifting wires to isolate the problem.
One that can be hard to find -- does your horn work? If not, the horn relay might be energized all the time. There was a recent thread about this one.

Re: 1971 drain on battery
Start with a battery load test to see if the battery is good by itself.
