Best Place to Sell
I am looking to sell my recently remodeled 72 C10 and was wondering where is the best place to advertise our 68-72 Chevy trucks? I see them on Craigslist and EBAY, but I wondering is there a better place to get more traffic?
Thanks in advance, KellerMac

Re: Best Place to Sell
You can also try Classic Auto Trader. I find it a little strange that this site does not allow member for sale postings unless you upgrade your account. Too bad you can't post it on this thread

The reason is because they were getting quite a few scams. Non-registered people were selling non existing parts and making off with the money. Requiring registration has pretty much eliminated that practice..... You can get a 6 month "Premium" membership on here for $15. Click on "Subscribe" in the menu bar at the top of this page. This is actually a pretty good place to sell '67 - '72 GM trucks because that is what almost everyone on here is interested in..... LockDoc

Re: Best Place to Sell
If you pay $25, you can post it here and also sell parts and stuff. Ebay charges you between $20-25 for the listing and around $150 once it sells.
I find that selling more premium vehicles on craigslist doesn't work. No one has any money, everyone wants to trade you their crappy Harley or 89 Buick Century. Ebay works better for me with a vehicle I am confident I can showcase fairly. Something in poor shape or that has a lot of hidden flaws I would sell on craigslist because it requires someone to view it in person to get a good understanding of the condition. Just my opinion. |

Re: Best Place to Sell
Not to mention the "truck for sale" threads get monotonous in the open forum. Almost every forum I'm a member of, no matter what the subject... selling things in the open part of the forum is not allowed.
I think it's a great way to keep the main part of the forums more on topic. Gary
