WTB Auto non-tilt column

Here I go again - I'm back to putting an auto in my C10. Need a column, auto no-tilt. Prefer non-rusty stalks but can replace from LMC if needed. Sandalwood would be awesome but I'll take any color you have and paint it if I need to.

Kicking myself for selling off the beautiful Sandalwood column Randy sold me a few years back but at that time I was absolutely convinced that I was doing a NV4500...oh well.

Re: WTB Auto non-tilt column

I have this one in Sandalwood. It is a decent working column with very minor pitting on the levers. Shift indicator housing is nice and un cracked. Has correct bulb holder for fiber optic shift indicator light. It is not perfect cosmetically but functions well and would be a nice for a driver.

I need $125.00 plus shipping for this column.

Let me know,

Thank you,
Thomas

Re: WTB Auto non-tilt column

I have what you need, but it is still in my Blazer. I recently did a manual swap, but still have the auto column installed until I can find a sandalwood non-tilt floor shift column. If you could help me out, I could help you out. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Re: WTB Auto non-tilt column

Cleszkie my column is not period-correct, it looks like it came from an early squarebody or mid-70s van. Pics attached.

I will be ready to start my engine swap in mid-Nov so if you still want to do a swap after seeing what I have to offer, and that time frame works for you, let's talk.

Re: WTB Auto non-tilt column

You have my attention with your column. Yes the turn signal lever is different, but I believe a correct one will bolt right in. Also, the hazard light knob is different, but that doesn't really bother me. Was your column repainted sandalwood, or is it original paint?

Re: WTB Auto non-tilt column

Guys, cleszkie has an offer of a shift bowl from jaros44sr. If that goes through I will be getting in touch with one of you about your columns. FYI, DLTruck1973, your column is Saddle, not Sandalwood.

Re: WTB Auto non-tilt column

Les, in the back of that picture I see a sandalwood column. Other than the missing stalks is it complete and in usable shape?

Re: WTB Auto non-tilt column

It's all good bro. I think Cleszkie would be better off taking your parts than my column anyway since his truck is a daily driver.

So you're in Philly? I'm across the bridge in Moorestown.

Which bridge is that, I should have a column laying around, since I swapped in a tilt, lmk if you want me to dig it out

Re: WTB Auto non-tilt column

Jaros44sr, before I go and pay shipping for one of these other columns from another part of the country, can you see if you have one?

Color doesn't matter to me, I'll paint it if I have to, but would like something complete and in decent or better shape.

Thanks -
Jim

Now I see the difference. With that said, I do not have a Sandalwood auto column for you.

Thank you,
Thomas

From SS Tim's post in this thread:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=6072552

"The steering wheel is Dark Sandalwood Ditzler #23374

The dash forward of the pad is Flat Dark Sandalwood Ditzler #23375 "

I will see if I can get some paint mixed up and restore the sandalwood column that I have! I will let you know as I go. Know big deal if you want the column or not when I finish it. My truck was originally white with parchment interior with dark sandalwood column, dash bezel and glove box door but it didn't give the code for the the sandalwood

What would you be looking for in terms of price when it is done? I'm doing a LQ4/4L80e swap on my truck and hopefully getting started in a month. Would like to have a column by then. If possible I'd want the lens with D-3-2-1 for the 80e.

I don't want to jerk anyone around here. As you see I already expressed interest in 1rippen6's column that I was going to restore myself. Not trying to start a Dutch auction but buying a column that is already done would save time on my side.

Jim, I got some dark sandalwood mixed up yesterday and have completely disassembed the coulmn and bead blasted it. You are not going to break my heart if you don't want it but it is going to be $300 shipped to your door. I don't know if they make an indicator lens with OD for the non tilt steering column, I have bought a few for the tilts
