Steering Box

Hey guys...I have a 67 with manual steering and want to fill the steering box..I know where to put the grease in but where does air escape when putting lube in ?? It fills thru one of the bolt hoes so not much room for venting... Dave

Re: Steering Box

you only put grease in during the rebuild process. after that you top it off with 90 wt ,

if it leaks I cheat a little and use STP oil treatment in. its thick enough that even on older trucks with the box next to the manifolds it does not thin out enough to leak out
