Turbo 400 rebuild and out put shaft seal

So, I have been building my truck (Capone) from the ground up, braving things I have never really done before and well came up to looking face to face to the original Turbo 400. it was completely covered in grit and grim, so I knew I need to clean it or replace it. Well replace it was not what I wanted, its all original parts, so I had this crazy idea to build it myself. So, bought a rebuild kit for 150.00, B&M Shift improver kit and off I started. I also bought a book strictly on turbo 400 rebuilds. You always hear these stories about how hard they are and that it takes a specialized tool(s) and person. Well no it really does not. If I can figure it out, anyone can. Anyways, I am about 70% complete and was getting the output shaft seal in and the one I got is not fitting, the seal is bigger than the original. Well after many visits to parts houses, I found the correct one. My reason for this post is two part, one to tell you if you are thinking or wondering about building your own tranny, go for it. get a book and as far as tools, typical tools in a shop that can rebuild engines can rebuild a tranny. The other reason is let you all know that at least on the Turbo 400 there are two yokes for the rear of the tranny, a larger 2.75" standard one and a 2.5 not standard hard to find one. Of course I have the hard to find one, but it works.
