Just picked up a 68. Looking to upgrade master cylinder.
Just picked up this 68. It has the factory master cylinder, and the brakes are really spongy. Previous owner changedt he rear end to a 84 s10 rear end. The front was changed to an 82 c10 crossmember so brakes are from an 82, with disk, spindles, etc. Im looking into changing to a wildwood master cylinder but wasn't sure if it would fit with what i have. Does anyone know off the top of their head? |

Looking at the pic I'm pretty sure that is not an S-10 rear end. They are only like 48 inches wide unless it is a super rare to find ZR2 rear. If it were a regular S truck rear it would be a 7.5 rear and kinda weak for the truck

Re: Just picked up a 68. Looking to upgrade master cylinder.
Its an s10, rear end. The guy I bought it from, built the truck from the ground up, and I texted him last night making sure and he said its from an 84 s10. He put that in because he wanted a narrower rear end to fit the deep dish wheels, rear right now is set up to fit a 15" wide tire.
Eventually I plan to change the rear end out, but for now im just trying to get the brakes working right and everything then I will work on the other parts. |
