Belt for small block chevy with low mounted alternator
Hello,
I bought one of these: http://www.jegs.com/i/RPC/707/R7758/10002/-1 I have it all installed and everything looks good, except I need a smaller belt. This is for a 1968 small block, 327, short water pump, no AC, no power steering. So basically, the belt would drive just the radiator fan and the alternator. Thanks, BB |

Re: Belt for small block chevy with low mounted alternator
you will need to measure out a rough number for what length belt you need and then summit can give you options for it I put in the info you gave in the search here so all you need now is a rough guess and choose that length and whola!

I take a 1/4" nylon rope and wrap it around where I need the belt to travel marking the long end when it gets back to the beginning. Take that to your local auto parts store and ask if you can go in the back and search thru the inventory and find one close. Works every time.
