Anyone who 4wheels a 67-72 chevy know how much the frame flexes. Well mine is doing it so much that the top bolts that hold the bedsides on are gouging and denting the cab when it flexes. My question is, how can I stop this? Cause I really don't want to keep beating up my cab. Any thought would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know how effective or safe it would be but you could think about putting some sort of large, homemade rubber washer between the bolt and cab. Something softer than a bolt but hard enough not to rip or tear out.

Loosen the bolts to your box, pull the box as far back as you can. Then tighten them up again. If thats not enough, you'll have to reem the holes longer or drill new holes futher back. You might have to move your bumper back as well. Good luck, hope this helps.

Are your cab mounts rotted? If the rubber is cracked and broke down the cab might be sagging.

I drilled new holes about 1" further back on all the brackets were the bed mounts to the frame, this corrected the problem for me.

In addition to moving the bed back, if you still have hex head bolts on the header, replace them with the phillips pan head bolt used on a lot of the beds.
