Bucket seat ?

Did a 71-72 truck ever come with bucket seats with a center passenger seat? Or do they all have center consoles in them? Seen one that is supposedly original but has a center seat with the buckets. I thought they only came with a console between them. Sorry for asking what may sound obvious but I'm uncertain since I don't personally know anyone with buckets in these trucks. Thanks.

green truck on ebay from Idaho?

I bet your looking at that green 4x4 on ebay. Very nice 67/68 bucket seats. Almost certain those were added by other than the factory.

67/68 had tripple buckets. The center is more of a console with flip down arm rest, but it can double as a seat for a very small person.
After 68, they had 2 buckets and a deep ass 6 pack cooler for a console.

That is one of the main reasons that I haven't gone towards buckets. Even though it's a truck, having a spot for one more person is always great. It sucks only taking one girl for a ride when you can take two

so, in 68, you could have buckets that fit like a bench seat, and still seat three people? or is it a really tight squeeze? i LOVE my bench, but i have always thought of moving to buckets - but only if i can sit three people comfortably!

its always cool when a woman can drive around two guys (instead of one) in her cool little red pickup!

Here is a shot of one. They all three touch each other, so in reality, you pretty much have the butt space of a bench.
Be forwarned..they are VERY expensive...althoguh i may have a lead on a set for my rig.

now, i may be lookin at it strangely, but isnt that middle seat quite a bit lower than the bench seats? a person would have to have a pretty skinny ass, right?

hmmm

Hey jewels that seat is flush on the top all the way across. The white part in the middle is the armrest flipped down. It is alot like the newer 97 or so and newer D0dge trucks.

Here is a pic of all 3 styles of buckets used 67-72 in light duty trucks. The 69/70 and thr 71/72 are virtually identical except for vinyl pattern.

Also, the 67 and 68 vinyl pattern is different as well. The gold/white seats are 68, the wide stitch green ones in my pic are 67's. FYI, dodges into the 1970's used same seats as 67/68 but frame may be different due to cab floor.

Actually that pic was "borrowed" by me. I do have a 2 sets of 67/68 buckets, one for trucks, the other for burbs. Try finding a 67/68 burb set if you think the truck style is rare. They are identical, except burbs don't have the flip down center armrest, and the center console hinge is more rugged in design. I had several sets of the 69-72 style but sold them when I was cleaning house.

I would love to see a picture of the suburban set.

I think I am going to sell both of my bench seats and move to leather late model tahoe/suburban seats, or some nice version there of.

But I would love to see the suburban buckets, just in case I like them enough to start hunting.
