Factory Transmission in 71' Custom Camper
What's up guys -
I am curious as to what transmission is in my 1971 C20 Custom Camper. 350CI with a 3 Speed Auto on the column. TH400? Thanks in advance. |

or at least that's what it would have had originally - someone could have swapped in a th400 over they years.

Look at the transmission pan, if its square with a corner cut at a 45 degree its a 350.(should be a 350 unless its been changed out i think) The thread below will help.

I would have thought being a 3/4 ton it would be a TH400. Is that not the case? I know my truck was /is a th400 but then again it don't count as it was a big block truck.

TH 400 would be with a big block, 350 with a small block. 3/4 ton does not make a difference.
