1981 Chevy C10 Daily Driver/High School Project

Ok man has it been a long time since I have been on here. As you may know, I had a 1969 Chevy C20 that was originally my great great uncles.



Sadly, I had to sell that. It would have cost too much for me to even get it into a drive-able state (I'm only 15 mind you). Now for the story of this truck. I knew I was getting to the point of my life where I need a vehicle for high school. Even if that is almost a full year away. So one day I was on Craigslist and found this gem. A pretty nice 1981 Chevy C10 for $1000. The only problem I saw in the post was that the 305 that is in it has a bad knock.

Ok. No big deal.

Luckly, my dad still had the original engine from his 1985 GMC you all might have seen on here named Fred. He took the 350 out and put a 5.3L Vortec in it. That truck was awesome.

Now, back to my truck. I went to see it and liked it!



Its pretty simple. It has some rust and the interior could use a little work, but I was able to talk the seller down to $700. That's a steal for a truck like this. Now I think it is time to put down a list of stuff I want to do to this truck.

Plates and register it
Put in the 350ci
Get rid of the back bumper and topper
Fix the seat cover (has holes)
New tires
New wheels
