This is the first time I have ever heard of anyone going that direction. Usually it is going from linkage to cable and since that is do-able I guess you could go the other way. It will take some fabrication to the firewall. You would need the pedal assembly and linkage rod from a '67-'70 Chevy or GMC truck.... Do you mind if I ask what the reasoning is for the cable replacement? LockDoc

Re: gas pedal
67-70 v8 rod and linkage should work but as stated you will have to slightly modify the firewall.

Re: gas pedal
Just buy a new cable. Much easier to do a motor/carb/intake etc. swap with a cable versus the mechanical linkage.

Re: gas pedal
X2 you can always find the carb bracket. They were used on GM cars too.

Re: gas pedal
I used one of these... Amazon.com: Mr. Gasket 5657 Steel Braided... It works great, especially with the Spectre duel throttle return springs and mount. Here's the whole shabang! Amazon.com: Spectre Performance 2435 Throttle...
